Depending on the particular circumstances, Petboost may collect and hold a range of different information about you. This can include your name, date of birth, contact details (including address, email address, phone number or mobile telephone number), occupation, username or password and information about how you use Petboost's Deliverables.
Petboost may sometimes need to collect additional information as part of a user authentication process, such as when you want to speak to one of our customer service personnel who need to access your Membership.
Petboost may collect your information online in your capacity as a Member. If you choose not to provide certain information about you, Petboost may not be able to allow you to use the Site.
Petboost may store your information in electronic format, in Petboost's storage facilities which may be owned and operated by Petboost's service providers. Petboost takes the privacy and security of your information seriously and we are committed to maintaining the security of your information under our control.
While Petboost takes these steps to maintain the security of your information, you should be aware of the range of information security risks that exist today and take appropriate care to help safeguard your information.
Petboost may use your information for a range of different purposes, including:
Petboost may also use your information to tell you about our own products, Deliverables and special offers that we think will be of interest to you. We send those communications ourselves, and you can opt out of them at any time. We do not hand your details to our related entities or to other businesses so they can market to you.
We may disclose your information to third parties who provide Deliverables to us for our internal operational purposes, and only so far as they need it to perform those Deliverables for us. They are bound by confidentiality obligations and may not use your information for their own purposes. These Deliverables include:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not disclose it to anyone for them to market their own products to you.
We may also disclose your information:
Petboost uses cookies, pixels, local storage and similar tracking technologies ("Cookies") on our websites and applications. Cookies are small data files stored on your device that help us understand how you interact with our services.
We may use third-party analytics, advertising and integration services that set their own cookies on your device. These services assist us with website analytics, marketing measurement, product improvement and enabling bookings through external platforms. Each third-party provider operates under its own privacy policy, and we encourage you to review those policies.
When you first visit our website, we show a short notice about our use of cookies. You can dismiss it with "OK, got it". Clearing your browser's local storage and cookies for our domain will bring the notice back on your next visit.
You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Please note that blocking certain cookies may affect the functionality of our services.
Where pet service businesses use Petboost to accept online bookings, we may share limited business information (such as business name, address, phone number, services offered and booking availability) with platform partners to enable discovery and booking features on external platforms, including search engines and mapping services. Business operators can manage their participation in these integrations through their Petboost account settings.
If you start a booking with a pet service business through Petboost and do not finish it, we may share what you were trying to book, and how you used the booking page, with that business so they can help you complete your booking.
Your information is stored on servers located in Australia. Our databases, application services and login services all run in Australian regions, and we do not move your information offshore for storage. Your information is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Some processing, as distinct from storage, involves providers that operate outside Australia. Where the platform includes AI-powered features, relevant portions of the data in a business account are transmitted to a third-party AI model provider to generate a response to a query, under data processing terms that prevent that provider using the data to train its models. Messages we send on a business's behalf are handled by email and SMS providers. These providers receive only what they need to perform that function for us. The AI processing terms are set out in the AI Agent Terms.
We do not store your card or bank account details. Payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment provider, and your payment details are held securely by Stripe rather than by Petboost or by the pet business you book with. Because Stripe operates globally, the handling of those payment details is governed by Stripe's own privacy terms. For more information about payments and how we handle your information, see the Petboost Terms and Conditions.
If you wish to access any of your personal information that we hold or would like to correct any errors in that information, please contact us via the Help Section in your Membership or email help@petboost.com.au.
You may request that Petboost delete your personal information at any time by contacting us at help@petboost.com.au. We will action your request within 30 days, subject to any legal obligations that require us to retain certain records.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies or legal requirements. We will post the updated policy on this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
